Ruslan Provodnikov a Professional Russian boxer in the Light Welterweight division has a lot of options following to his stoppage victory over 'Mike Alvarado' and allowed him to wing the World Boxing Organization belt as now the new World Light-Welterweight champion

Pacquiao and Provodnikov
Pacquiao-Provodnikov fight

A bout against the Filipino ring icon Manny Pacquiao, for whom Provodnikov has served as a sparring partner in the past.

“Why not?” Top Rank chief executive Bob Arum told Ronnie Nathanielsz of Boxing Scenewhen asked about a Pacquiao-Provodnikov Fight.

Freddie Roach who trained both Pacquiao and Provodnikov, doesn't think that  Pacquiao-Provodnikov fight  is ever gonna happen, however.

“They are good friends, and I don’t think they’ll fight,” Roach said.

HBO Analyst 'Larry Merchant' is one of those who would want to see a fight between 'Manny Pacquiao' and Ruslan Provodnikov.

“Sure, I’d love to see that. He’s sparred many rounds with Pacquiao,” he told Hustle Boss. “When you get a chance to fight a guy like Pacquiao, that’s where the money is. That’s where the top of the mountain is.”

If a Pacquiao fight does not turn up, Provodnikov still has other options, Maybe a rematch with Alvarado. Or he could also take on with Timothy Bradly for a rematch after losing a close decision last March.

“Bradley, Pacquiao and (Brandon) Rios are out there,” said Provodnikov’s promoter, Artie Pelullo, on ESPN. “Alvarado might want a rematch. We have a lot of options.”
